1. Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore:-

In 1909 Indian Institute Of Science(IISc) Bangalore was established. In the list of top ten colleges in India (HRD) has ranked IISc at 1st place.The Institute spread over an area of 400 acres. It ranked 27 in Asian as per 2017 ranking and QS world university ranking has ranked  IISc at 190 in the world.

2. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras:-

Indian Institute of Technology Madras is one of the prestigious institutes of higher technological education and applied research. HRD has ranked IIT Madras at 2nd place in the top ten colleges list in India. The campus is located in Chennai. QS world university ranking has ranked IIT Madras at 264 in the world and secure 48th rank in Asia.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is an engineering institution located in Powai, Mumbai and is established in 1958. From here you can do engineering in various branches. HRD has ranked IIT Bombay at 3rd place in the top ten colleges list in India and in Asia, it is at 34th rank.

4. IIT Kharagpur:-

IIT Kharagpur is in the Kharagpur, West Bengal. The government of India has established IIT Kharagpur in 1951. As per QS world, university ranking Kharagpur lies at the 308th rank and in Asia at 62nd rank. It has 2,100 acres of campus.HRD has ranked IIT Kharagpur at 4th place.

 5. IIT Delhi:-

It is established in 1961. And it’s campus has an area of 320 acres and is nearby to Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU). HRD has ranked IIT Delhi at 5th place and as per QS world, university ranking ranked as 172 and in Asia lies at 41st  rank. There are 13 hostels (11 for boys and 2 for girls).

6. Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi:-

JNU was established in 1969 by an act of parliament. It is in Munirka, New Delhi. It has 1,019 acres of campus. HRD has ranked JNU at 6th place in the top ten colleges in India.

7. IIT Kanpur:-

IIT  is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and is established in 1959. This institute spread over a campus area of 1000 acres. HRD has ranked IIT Kanpur at 7th place in the top ten colleges in India list. QS world, university ranking has ranked IIT Kanpur at the 293rd place and in Asia lies at 59th rank.

8. IIT Guwahati:-

IIT Guwahati is located in Guwahati, Assam. Established in 1994. HRD has ranked IIT Guwahati at 8th place in the top ten colleges in India list. QS world, university ranking has ranked IIT Guwahati at the (502nd-550th) place and in Asia lies at 98th rank. It has 700 acres of campus.

 9. IIT Roorkee:-

IIT Kanpur is located in Roorkee, Uttar Pradesh. It is established in 1847 in British India and was known as Thomas college of Civil Engineering, and now it is known IIT Roorkee from 2001. IIT Roorkee has 365 acres of campus. HRD has ranked IIT Roorkee at 9th place in the top ten colleges in India list. QS world, university ranking has ranked IIT Roorkee at the (431-440) place and in Asia lies at 93rd rank.

10.Banaras Hindu University:-

Established in 1916 by Madan Mohan Malaviya and is situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It has 1,300 acres of campus. QS world, university ranking has ranked Banaras Hindu University at the (801-1000) place and in Asia lies at 225th rank.
